The history of the automobile that we have today can be an enjoyable narrative since the current automobile must have come from far. The current cars are comfortable, classic, speedy and they have an attractive look. There are different models determined by their price and the facilities in the car.Therefore, the following are the events that happened from the beginning of the first car.
The first automobile dated back in 1769. The automobiles that were being used in the past looked different from the modern cars. They seemed more of the carriages that are pulled by horses. Then people started to think that having carriages that do not have to be pulled by horses would be a good idea.That’s when they discovered that they could add engine to the carriages.The carriages were now referred to as horseless carriages but did not take off as expected.
A German engineer by the name Nikolas Otto invented an internal engine that used petrol energy in 1876.The first time that a usable engine was made was at this time.Later on the engine was tested on experimental cars that used petrol as the main source of fuel.
Cars that consumed petrol were designed in 1885 by mechanics and engineers and were made available to citizens. The modern cars cannot be compared with those cars because they were slow, and they had three big wheels.
The first car that was reliable was made in 1908. it was known as Ford Model T and driving it was much better. The car was available to many people because it was produced in large quantities.The car was finally affordable to more families as the mass production reduced the production cost thereby reducing the cost of the car.
Volkswagen Beetle was the first car that became popular. Ferdinand Porsche designed the car in the 1930s, but it was not until 1945 that the car was manufactured and sold. Many people became familiar with the car because it was affordable, strong and could not break easily.
Many people would buy cars and customize in the 1950s since they had disposable income and that’s the only way they could show their wealth. Many people came to know car parts such as tail lights, fins, electric windows among others that were used by the wealthy. Unluckily, the large cars used a lot of petrol although it was affordable since people had money.
James Bond started driving Aston Martin in 1960swhen cars became famous.However, this was just seen in the movies until the 1980s when the cars became popular to many people in the world.
